During the February Board meeting, our Trustees approved a new four-tier system for school hours. This schedule will be effective beginning the 2023-2024 school year.

 




IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT COVID-19:

Please notify campus staff BEFORE visiting an LCISD campus or center if:

• You or someone in your household has been officially diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

• You or someone in your household has been ill with any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days: fever greater than or equal to 100.0; shortness of breath, cough, chills, diarrhea, headache, sore throat; new loss of taste or smell.

• You have a compromised immune system

In these cases, district personnel will be glad to assist in completing the registration process through virtual means such as email, etc.

Athletic Information

2023-2024 Briscoe Athletic Dates  

All 7th and 8th grade students interested in major sports must complete online RankOne Sport forms and turn in a 2023-2024 sports physical.  All forms can be found below.

Briscoe Athletics

The coaching staff here at Briscoe Jr High is excited and thrilled to have the opportunity to coach your son/daughter for the 2023-24 school year. We will strive to make this year an enjoyable learning experience. Below is some information that will assist you as you begin your journey into Eagle Athletics:

Boys Basketball Tryouts

Basketball sign up begins October 16th-27th in the coaches office.  You must have a physical on file and have completed the online RankOne Sport forms in order to sign up.  Tryouts will be from October 30th-November 3rd.  Questions about boys basketball should be directed to Coach Smith at [email protected] or 832.223.4082.

7th grade boys basketball tryouts will start October 30th at 7:00am sharp. If you have not gotten your physical and completed online rank one forms, you will not be able to try out. 

8th grade boys basketball tryouts will start October 30th at 4:30pm sharp. If you have not gotten your physical and completed online rank one forms, you will not be able to try out.

Girls Basketball Tryouts

Basketball sign up begins October 9th in the coaches office.  You must have a physical on file and have completed the online RankOne Sport forms in order to sign up.  Tryouts will be from October 23th-27th.  Question for girls basketball should be directed to Coach Frazier at [email protected] or 832.223.4082.  

7th and 8th grade girls basketball tryouts will start October 23th, 7:15 am for 7th grade and 4:30 pm for 8th grade. You must have a physical and online rank one forms completed in order to signup. Sign up starts October 9th. See Coach Frazier([email protected]) in PE/athletics to sign up or if you have any questions.

It is a UIL/TEA/LCISD requirement that your child has the required forms completed in order to be able to play football, tryout for volleyball, or be enrolled in Major Sports.
