Jane and Les Krancher were honored at the 33rd Annual Lamar CISD Special Olympics Invitational as the Volunteers of the Year.
For the past 16 years, the couple has worked the grill at the Special Olympics, cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for the 1,100 volunteers, athletes and coaches.
Jane is a teacher at Bowie and Les works for Centerpoint. Other Centerpoint employees have come and gone over the years, but the Kranchers have been a constant at the event.
Les also accepted a plaque on behalf of Centerpoint, thanking them for their years of service to the Lamar CISD Special Olympics.
