Graduation exercises for Foster High School's Class of 2018 will be held Saturday, June 2, at 10 a.m.. in the
Merrell Center in Katy.
Ashley Bilicek is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 at Foster High School.
The daughter of Steven and Rebecca Bilicek, she will attend Texas A&M University and study Chemical Engineering. She wants to be a leader in innovation and create a new technology that will help solve serious challenges, including desalinization, food shortages and efficient uses of natural resources.
Ashley was the Vice President of POWER SET, a member of the National Honor Society, on the Student Council, participated in DECA, served as a AP Ambassador, attended Leadership High School, played on the freshman Volleyball team, is an altar server at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Czech Heritage Society.
She wants a meaningful career, a strong Christian family and to better her community.
She said she’d like to “be a person who finds themselves smiling more than frowning.”
Ashley encourages classmates to strive to be a better person, focus on the positive aspects of life, nurture great friendships and always see the good in others.
Yusef Haikal is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2018 at Foster High School.
The son of Lamia Haikal and David Haikal, he will attend the University of Houston, majoring in Chemical Engineering. He wants to one day run his own hedge fund.
Yusef was vice president of DECA and of the National Honor Society. He also participated in the Boy Scouts.
He wants to become to become the best at whatever he chooses to pursue and life. He advice to fellow graduates is “never give up.”
