The temperature this week has been high with heavy humidity. We will try to be cautious with the students at recess and keep a close watch on them during this unusually hot September. All outdoor activities can get uncomfortable after a short period of time. I am ready for some cool weather. Anything under 90 would be great!
We seem to be having heavy traffic congestion in the morning. The line for drop-offs has been long especially right before the tardy bell. Some parents have tried to take shortcuts by dropping their students off around the corner from the school and having them walk the rest of the way. I have had reports of this being done in an unsafe manner where students have been put at risk. Please put safety ahead of convenience when bringing your students in the morning. If you are tired of the traffic jams in the morning try coming earlier or put your child on the bus. Our congested time is no different than the traffic jams that many of you encounter on your way to work in the morning. Be patient and Mr. Jerry will try to move the cars as quickly as possible.
Your student may dress western tomorrow, September 22, in observance of Fort Bend County Fair Day! Students who do not wish to dress western should follow regular school dress code.
