Romeesa Khan Adrian Vela
Romeesa Khan is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2017 at Terry High School. She is the daughter of Aleem and Farida Uddin.
While at Terry, she was Vice President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Interact Service Club, a member of the International Thespian Society, Youth in Philanthropy, House Manager for theater productions, participated in Academics UIL and earned a Service Cord.
She plans to attend either Rice or the University of Houston, majoring in biochemistry/biomedical sciences or chemical engineering, aerospace engineering or environmental science.
Adrian Vela is the Salutatorian at Terry High School. He is the son of Olivia Vela.
While at Terry, he was captain of the soccer team, a National Hispanic Scholar, President of the National Honor Society and a member of the 2017 Lamar CISD Citizens' Bond Committee.
He will attend Duke University, studying economics, history and environmental science and then law school.
Graduation exercises for the Terry High School Class of 2017 will be May 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Merrell Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy.
