Ray Elementary is one of only five schools in the state chosen as a 2018 “Dr. Jay Cummings Demonstration School” by the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE).
Ray Principal Ben Perez made a presentation about his campus’ record of excellence to the attendees of the annual TABSE conference, which was held in Houston.
As a TABSE Demonstration School, Ray carries the distinction of being one of a small group of high-performing majority-minority schools, serving as a model for schools across the state.
