On Dec. 13, a very special guest surprised students at Ray Elementary. After being selected as a school to participate in “TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying,” TORO, mascot of the Houston Texans, visited Ray to teach students the importance of kindness.
This educational program, created by the Houston Texans and National Oilwell Varco, teaches students the proper ways to combat bullying and how to identify different types of bullying. Through demonstrations, prize giveaways and virtual presentations from Texans players, JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus, TORO taught students how to prevent bullying and promoted an atmosphere of kindness.
