Graduation exercises for Lamar Consolidated High School's Class of 2019 will be held Saturday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the Merrell Center in Katy.
Steven Tran is the Valedictorian for the Class of 2019 at Lamar Consolidated High School.
The son of Xuan Nguyen and Tony Tran, he will attend the University of Houston.
While at LCHS, Steven was a member of the Mustang Band, the tennis team, National Honor Society, SkillsUSA, and the English Ministry Group.
Outside of his career, Steven wants to instill awareness and knowledge of various cultures with whomever he encounters. He aims to encourage others to be open-minded and continue to grow spiritually.
Steven reminds his classmates that while obstacles are inevitable in life, sacrifices are sometimes necessary to overcome them. He encourages his classmates to know their core values and solidify their internal foundations before facing challenges.
Yixen He is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2019 at Lamar Consolidated High School.
The daughter of Xiao and Hua He, she intends on attending the University of Texas, majoring in Mathematics. She plans to be an actuary.
Through her life, Yixen has prioritized finding happiness in all that she does and intends to keep happiness at the top of her priority list.
While at LCHS, Yixen was a member of the Peer Assistance Leadership program (PALS) and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Yixen encourages her classmates to seek out joy in all that they choose to pursue.
