Three new administrators have joined Lamar CISD in advance of the 2019 - 2020 school year.
Kevin Smith is the new principal of Meyer Elementary. A graduate of the University of Houston, Smith received his masters from Lamar University. Smith joins Lamar CISD from Houston ISD where he most recently served as the assistant principal of Patterson Elementary.
Monica Tomas is the new director of Child Nutrition. A graduate of the University of Houston, Tomas has more than 18 years of experience in food services. Tomas returns to Rosenberg from El Paso, TX where she most recently served as a catering and events manager.
Dr. Melissia B. Smith is the new principal of the Alternative Learning Center and Special Sites. A graduate of the University of New Orleans, Dr. Smith received her masters from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Smith also received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. She has over 15 years of educational experience and most recently served as the associate principal of Willowridge High School, in Fort Bend ISD.
