Lamar CISD has named Dr. Marlon Waites, Jr. and Wayne Morren as Area Superintendents in the District.
As Area Superintendents, Dr. Waites and Morren will provide direction to Lamar CISD schools, coaching and supervision to area principals and be involved in the selection, development and evaluation of school-based leaders.
Dr. Waites is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and his master’s degree in Educational Administration. In 2010, he received his Doctorate from Trinity International Seminary. Waites has over 16 years of educational experience and most recently served as the Director of Student Services and Interim Fine Arts Director of Lancaster ISD.
Morren is a graduate of Texas Tech University and has over 25 years of educational experience. He received his master’s degree from West Texas A&M and most recently served as a secondary principal in Floydada Collegiate ISD.
