Lamar CISD is proud to be among the fastest-growing districts in the state of Texas. In fact, demographers project that our community will add more than 48,000 new single-family homes within the next decade.

To keep up with our growth, we are frequently building and opening new schools—while regularly reviewing and monitoring enrollment.

Due to the growing student population that has resulted from new growth and development in the area, the district has enacted a cap on enrollment for students in Pre-K - 5th grades for Tamarron Elementary effective August 1, 2023. This decision allows class sizes to remain at acceptable levels while not overloading instructional programs at the campus. 

This enrollment cap is a temporary solution while the district continues to work towards building new schools in the area. 

Families with students moving into the Tamarron Elementary zone will be rezoned for Jackson Elementary located at 301 Third Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Transportation will be available to these families.

Lamar CISD se enorgullece de ser el distrito de más rápido crecimiento en el estado de Texas. De hecho, los expertos proyectan que nuestra comunidad añadirá más de 48,000 nuevas casas unifamiliares dentro de la próxima década.

Para seguir con este ritmo de nuestro crecimiento, construimos y abrimos con frecuencia nuevas escuelas, a la vez que revisamos y controlamos periódicamente las inscripciones. 

Debido este rápido crecimiento en la población estudiantil resultado del nuevo incremento y desarrollo en el área del año pasado, el distrito estableció cierto límite de inscripciones para nuevos estudiantes de Pre-Kínder al 5º grado para la Escuela Primaria Tamarron a partir del 1 de agosto de 2023. Esta decisión permite que el tamaño de las clases se mantenga en niveles  

aceptables sin sobrecargar los programas de instrucción en la escuela.

Este límite de inscripción es una solución temporal mientras el distrito continúa trabajando para construir nuevas escuelas en el área.

Las familias con estudiantes que se muden a la zona de la Escuela Primaria Tamarron serán rezonificadas en la zona de la Escuela Primaria Jackson ubicada en 301 Third Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. El transporte estará disponible para estas familias.

Lunch Visitor Schedule

Please find your teacher's color at the bottom of the schedule. Lunch visitors will be allowed to eat lunch with their student on the class's designated days with a max of 2 visitors per child (this includes any siblings). Please follow all school procedures and sign in at the office for a visitor’s badge. All visitors must be listed in Skyward or accompanied by an adult that is listed in Skyward. PLEASE NOTE: We will not have campus visitors until the week of August 28th.

Dress Code

Tamarron students will be expected to follow the dress code according to the district student handbook. Click here for more information.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

  • No parking in the rear (staff) parking lot. 
  • Due to overall safety, we strongly discourage bike riders and walkers. 
  • Use the map below to observe pick up/drop off routes. These will be enforced daily. 
  • Please maintain patience and be mindful of time during arrival and dismissal.

Reminders

  • Please have your green car rider tag visible through the driver's side windshield. 
  • If you do not have a car rider tag during pick up, you will be asked to park and go to the office with your ID to receive a tag and then return to the car rider line to retrieve your student(s).
  • For safety reasons, your student will enter the vehicle on the passenger side ONLY. Please do not exit your vehicle to assist your student in getting in the car.

School Hours and Transportation Changes

The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m. Students are encouraged to arrive at school by 7:15 a.m. and are tardy if they arrive after 7:45 a.m. Transportation changes must be submitted to the front office before 2:00 p.m. Transportation changes must be submitted by a phone call, written note or via email to [email protected]. 

Students leaving early must be picked up by 2:15 p.m.
